Introduction: Localized abdominal fat is a common concern in aesthetic medicine. The combination of ultracavitation and radiofrequency has been proposed as a non-invasive alternative to reduce abdominal circumference and improve skin firmness.
Objective: To evaluate the clinical effectiveness of combined ultracavitation and radiofrequency in reducing localized abdominal fat in women treated at the Sempre Bela Fisio Estética Clinic in 2024.
Materials and methods: Quasi-experimental, pre–post intervention study. Twenty adult women with localized abdominal fat underwent 8 sessions of combined ultracavitation (40 kHz) and bipolar radiofrequency, twice weekly. Abdominal circumference was measured before and after treatment. Descriptive statistics and paired Student’s t-test were applied (p < 0.05). Patient satisfaction was assessed using a visual analog scale (VAS).
Results: Mean abdominal circumference decreased from 90.7 ± 4.5 cm to 84.6 ± 4.3 cm (mean reduction: 6.1 cm; p < 0.001). Eighty-five percent of patients reported high satisfaction (VAS ≥ 9). No serious adverse events were observed.
Conclusion: The combination of ultracavitation and radiofrequency is an effective and safe method for reducing localized abdominal fat, with a high level of patient satisfaction.
